Advance Counselling Centre's employees are highly-trained, experienced and dedicated to the success of our clients. What makes our staff different is our experience and compassion towards helping our clients face their issues in a non-judgemental, accepting, and supportive sessions. We know how hard it is to open up and talk about the most personal issues we face and realize trusting a "stranger" is very hard to do. Master of Education, Counseling Psychology
Kay Byers is a Texas state-licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years in the Las Colinas, Dallas, and Irving location. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University for both her undergraduate and Master's degrees with a concentration in business and counseling psychology. Kay Byers is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and has counseling interns working under her supervision. Her primary areas of expertise include working with patients suffering from loss and grief issues, including anxiety, panic attacks and depression. She provides counseling services to individual adults and couples. Kay worked for several fortune 500 companies before starting her own private practice. She has received numerous awards in the public mental health arena including the Executive Director's Outstanding Performance award from Hunt County Family Services and Outstanding Leadership from the International Women's Leadership Association. Kay works full time as a counselor and is a member of: American Psychotherapy Association, American Psychological Association, American Association of Christian Counselors and National Association of Professional Women.
